• Uncontested Divorce
For uncontested divorces where there is no mediation needed, just writing up and drafting of the marital settlement agreement, our special fees apply: $1,700 without children, and $1,950 with children which includes the child support quidelines and the parenting time (visitation) schedule.
• Mediation
We charge a flat fee of $3,995.for the entire divorce done through mediation.
A $500. non-refundable deposit is required in order to hold the time and place of the mediation. This deposit is credited towards your total fee.
• High-End Divorces where the couples' net worth is over 1 Million Dollars, or their issues are very complex, Dr.Blum will personally administer and conduct your divorce in a comprehensive manner. His skills as a Supreme Court Certified Mediator come together to help the parties resolve their more difficult issues to resolution without compromising their relationship or their nuclear family balance. The cost for this VIP Service is $5,995.
• We charge a flat fee for all prenuptial and post nuptial mediations of $3500.
We chose a flat fee program for our clients because attorneys charge the clients on an hourly fee and these charges can end up exceeding $50,000 or more.
We see this as a conflict of interest when professionals working on an hourly fee tend to slow the process down so the client ends up paying more. By contrast, if they speed things along they lose money. We do not believe this is a fair system of justice; therefore, we feel we are pioneers by changing the way fees are charged.
This fee includes the entire divorce regardless of time that we spend on your case and the post divorce for any modifications that are needed in the future.
• Full Disclosure
Both parties are entitled to full disclosure during the mediation process. All financials including pension accounts, business records, joint or individual accounts and commissions must be disclosed at the request of the other party.
